The Indigenous Beauty Concepts Support Group, founded in September 2002, is a natural hair and natural lifestyle support forum.  The IBC Support Group rises to the challenge of qualitatively enhancing the lives of  women/men.  The mission of the Support Group is to improve the health of women and men through wellness education, information and services, and self-help group development.  IBC Support Group works at the primary level, with individuals and businesses.

Our natural hair and lifestyle choice is the primary focus of IBC Support Group and is the outreach vehicle through which most of our organizing, leadership development, and education is conducted.  The support process, used to unearth vital health information, allows each participant to analyze her/his life and understand his/her own decision making abilities.

            The process of empowerment encourages personal responsibility and commitment  to change.  Through a broadened concept of  health and an active program, IBC

Support Group enables Black women/men to live, love, and work in new and more authentic ways.
